Do I have to renew my Padi Divemaster licence every year?
I was wondering if it's possible to only renew it when I intend to use it, or is it compulsory to pay for it every year regardless. If the latter then is there also a penalty i.e forfeit of all training recognition for not paying yearly etc
Hi, in order to remain in status you need to renew every year.
If you fail to renew for a significant length of time you may be asked to do an update. This may take the form of a webinar or perhaps a session with a dive instructor to make sure you are up to date with any changes.
It is easier and less hassle to stay a member.
