The use of Stainless Steel for Business Plaques

Stainless steel engraved and etched plaques are a prestigious ,modern and contemporary way to celebrate or commemorate an event.Whether for an opening ceremony, the naming of a building or office or historical house a stainless steel plaque fits the bill.

Stainless steel plaques are an essential material for use as aviation data plates.
Stainless steel plaques are all made to order and to the size required. Stainless steel plaques can be supplied cut to an oval shape if required as well as the traditional rectangle/square however this can limit the layout of the text.
Stainless steel plaques are usually ink filled in black however when a company logo is required a color fill can be used.
Nearly any font can be used on a stainless steel plaque although when a large amount of text is required it is generally better to use a standard Arial or Helvetica font for legibility. Submit the artwork to the supplier and they will reproduce an accurate copy onto stainless steel by engraving or by chemical etching into the surface of the material.
Stainless steel plaques are chemically etched and this process enables very fine detail to be achieved. This allows the use of crests , coats of arms, school branding or industry body logos to be included on the plaque which would not be possible with traditional engraving.
Stainless steel plaques are supplied in 316 marine grade as standard which is a higher grade than 304 and is suitable for marine environments and coastal areas.
Alternatives to stainless steel are available and will look almost as good as the genuine product. A popular alternative to stainless steel plaques are anodized aluminum plaques which give a satin finish instead of a mirror or brushed finish provided by stainless steel. Engraving laminates can also look very professional and will last for years but nothing comes quit like the genuine product of having a solid stainless steel plaque on the front of a business premises.
